Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 24, 2026. At Modulabs, you buy your home and your land in one place: your identity, your income, your lot and the dwelling spec are supplied once, here, instead of being repeated to sixteen separate parties. That is exactly why we owe you a clear account of what we do with them. This policy explains what information we collect, why, how we protect it, and what your rights are. Modulabs complies with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, known as Loi 25 (Quebec's privacy law).
The details, section by section.
Information we collect
We only collect the information we need to let you buy your home and your land: your contact details (name, email address, phone number, and region) when you fill out a form or buy online; information about your project (the model you're interested in, approximate budget, prospective lot, and desired timeline); the information required for your financing and for closing the sale (income, intended down payment, and the identity documents required by law), which you supply once rather than to every party; and browsing data (pages visited and interactions on our site), to improve your experience. We never collect sensitive information without a clear reason, and we only ask for what genuinely serves your file.
How we use your information
Your information is used for specific, legitimate purposes: to get back to you with the real numbers and information relevant to your project; to prepare your purchase file and, if needed, your financing plan; to keep you informed about the Modulabs rollout in your region, if you consent; and to improve our models, our site, and our customer service. We do not use your information for purposes you wouldn't expect, and never to sell you anything extra.
Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information. Period. We may share it only in the following cases: with our manufacturer, when necessary to carry out your project; with trusted partners (financial institutions, service providers) strictly to follow up on your request, and only with your consent; or when required by law, for example at the request of a competent authority. Every partner is required to protect your information with the same care we do.
Cookies
Our site uses cookies to remember your preferences and measure page usage. You can configure your browser to refuse them; some features may then be limited. We do not use cookies to track you beyond what is necessary for your experience.
Retention and security
We keep your information for as long as necessary to follow up on your project, then securely destroy it. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against loss, unauthorized access, and disclosure.
Your rights
Loi 25 grants you clear rights over your information. You may, at any time: access the information we hold about you; request the correction of inaccurate or incomplete information; withdraw your consent and ask us to stop contacting you; or request the deletion of your information, within the limits permitted by law. To exercise a right, simply write to us. We respond within the timelines set out by law.
